I've been naming things. I think that when you spend enough time with something, you get to know it in a way that kind of deserves a name. It's fun cause when you name something, you realize just how much of a personality it has.
For example, my bed. She's always been there for me. She's warm, comforting, accepting, and still dignified. Her name is Beatrice. She's great. and her naming was soon followed by....wait for it....
Gladys the Magic Bullet, Frank the washer, and Orville the dryer, Harriette the sewing machine, and Samantha the Kindle. They're all members of the family now. The big happy family of stuff.

FINALLY!!!!!
First the background information.
So I go to UVU and all but one of my classes are in the Pope Science building so of course I spend alot of time there. This building is 3 stories tall, and in the middle of it, there's a big open area with a couple of flights of stairs and in the middle of this vast space is a giant pendulum. it's an enormous string with a big christmas ornament looking thing hanging on it. it swings all day long and is supposed to show the movement ofthe earth in the way it's plane of swinging rotates. underneith it is the big pedistal with pegs lined up around the perimiter which the oniment knocks over every so often. I believe the the earth rotates, and I've seen the pedistal with half of the pegs knocked over, but i've never actually seen any of them get knocked over. I've HEARD it happen, but it could be some random guy doing it to trick us! so it's been a goal of mine to see it happen for real. I've tried to see it a few times now, but evey time I did, I'd run out of time and have to leave before it happened.
So that's the backgraound, now here's the story.
Yesterday was stupid. i don't have any good friendsin any of my classes on tuesday, so I'm always bored out of my mind, and I had a test in Chemisty which I just knew I bombed. I was cold for no reason at all, and just in an altogeth crappy mood. I got out of my chem lab half an hour early and on my way to the library to mope, I noticed that the pendulum was about to knock over a peg! "Awesome!" I think, "Today's the day! i have nothing to do so I'll just stick around for a few minutes and then I'll be able to knock that item off of my bucket list! Great!"
So I stuck around and watched. I couldn't do homework or anything like that cause just as soon as i looked away it would be sure to happen so I just stood there staring at it as it swung back...and forth...and back...and forth...and back...and forth...........on and on it went swinging back...and forth... after five minutes I started getting bored. "What's the dealio? come on! it's so close!" Back...and forth it goes. I'm stuck on it. after ten minutes I start to think about going to the library afterall and saving this for another day. but I can't do that because as soon as i turn my back it'll hit! so i keep watching it going back....and forth...and back...and forth...and back.. and forth. after twenty minutes people start getting out of class and the hallways are getting full. I'm sure i look stupid just standing here watching theis stupid thing! but I couldn't leave cause I had already spent so much time waiting for it, it's SO CLOSE!!!! "come on!" "Just HIT IT!!!!" I'm sending all these brain messages to it but it doesn't speed up. it just keeps swinging back...and forth...and back...and forth...and back...and forth...and back...and forth.........!!!!! EERRGG!!! after twenty-five minute I've decided that it doesn't really move. It just always swings right next to the same pag and someone sneeks into the exibit and knocks over the other pegs. It's time for me to get to class so I start to get ready to leave and THEN! it nudged it! it swings back... and nudges itagain . YES!!! it's gonna happen! it swings back... and nudges it again! "come on!just DO IT!" it swings back..... and nudges it AGAIN!!!! "PLEASE!!!! I have to go to class!" it swings back... and knocks it clean off the pedistal! FINALLY!!!!! THANK YOU!!! that was so worth it! Item number 5 on my bucket list, CHECK! thank you very much! I feel so accomplished!
Anyway, that saved my day and made me super happy. It very well may be the highlight of my week. oh what a good week! wow that was super long. Sorry. maybe now you'll understad just what it wa i went through.
